Overview

Okeke Control is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our apps.

It covers every version of Okeke Control: the controller app for iPhone and iPad, the controller app for Android phones and tablets, and the receiver apps for macOS and Windows.

Information We Collect

We collect NO personal information.

Okeke Control operates on your local WiFi network and does not:

• Collect any personal data
• Track your usage
• Access your files or documents
• Store any information on our servers (we don't have servers)
• Use analytics or tracking tools
• Share data with third parties

The single exception is voice typing, which passes your speech to Apple's or Google's speech recognition so it can be turned into text. It is optional, off unless you turn it on, and described in full under "Voice Typing" below.

How Okeke Control Works

Okeke Control uses local network communication between your phone or tablet and your computer:

• Bonjour/mDNS: Used to discover your Mac or Windows PC on the local network
• Local WiFi only: Your phone connects directly to your computer; nothing is relayed through a server
• No Internet Required: Controlling your computer works with no internet connection at all

The keystrokes you type and the pointer movements you make are sent only to the computer you chose, across your own network. They are not recorded, stored or transmitted anywhere else.

Permissions

Okeke Control requests only the permissions its core function requires:

• Local Network Access (iOS and iPadOS): Required to discover and connect to your computer
• Internet, Network State and WiFi State (Android): Required to open the direct connection to your computer on your own network
• WiFi Multicast (Android): Required so the app can discover your computer, because discovery uses multicast
• Vibrate (Android): Used only for key press feedback in your hand
• Microphone (Android and iOS): Required only for voice typing, and only while you hold the app in dictation. See "Voice Typing" below.
• Accessibility (macOS): Required to move the cursor and type on your Mac
• Network access (Windows): Required to accept the connection from your phone

The Android app requests no location, camera, contacts or storage permission, and uses the microphone only for voice typing. These permissions are used exclusively for the app's core functionality and never for data collection.

Voice Typing

Okeke Control can type what you say onto your computer. This is the one feature that does not stay entirely on your own network, so it is worth being precise about:

• The microphone is used only while voice typing is switched on, and stops the moment you send, clear or close it. There is no background listening.
• Speech is converted to text by your device's own operating system: Apple's speech recognition on iPhone and iPad, Google's on Android. Depending on your device and settings, that conversion may happen on the device or on Apple's or Google's servers.
• When it happens on their servers, your speech is sent to Apple or Google, and is handled under their privacy policies, not ours. We never receive it.
• We do not record, store or transmit your audio. Okeke Control has no servers. The recognised text is sent only to the computer you chose, across your own network, exactly like anything you type.
• You can decline the microphone permission and use every other feature normally.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Okeke Control Pro:

• Your subscription is handled entirely by the platform's own store: Apple through the App Store, or Google through Google Play
• We receive only anonymized transaction data from Apple or Google
• We never see your payment information
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings or in Google Play, depending on where you subscribed

Data Storage

Okeke Control stores minimal data locally on your device:

• App preferences, such as your chosen control style and pointer speed
• Subscription status, as reported by Apple or Google

This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Third-Party Services

Okeke Control uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking tools of any kind. The third-party components are: the billing libraries provided by Apple and Google, which exist solely to process a subscription you choose to buy; Google Play's in-app review prompt on Android; and the speech recognition built into iOS and Android, used only for voice typing as described above.

Children's Privacy

Okeke Control does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. It collects no information from any user of any age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
